Hi I believe this to be a fly but am not realy sure as it appears very hairy. It was approximately 3mm may be 4mm no bigger and seen on Alliaria petiolata (Garlic Mustard) in my Garden in Southern England Can anyone help towards and Id ? Regards Chas |

This is Diptera: fam. Psychodidae (maybe Psychoda sp., but surely subfam. Psychodinae) http://www.museums.org.za/bio/insects/flies/psychodidae/index.htm |
