Somewhere near jasius, but I'm not sure which species. I'll check some books tomorrow, if I get a chance!

In my Butterflies of Tanzania the closest thing would be a male Ch. druceanus, but it is not that, sadly jasius is not illustrated. In Butterflies of Kenya Larsen has photos of the uppers of 3 species he separates out of the jasius group, but none of them fit either, that white still makes it nearer to druceanus. Sorry that is not much help.

Ahh, but in Butterflies of South Africa by Ivor Migdoll there is a photo of the underside of a male Ch. brutus natalensis that looks very much like your photo.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
