Hello, I saw this larva in March, creeping around on a path between two meadows. I do not have much expierence with larvae, but it seemed rather big to me (about 25 mm long). Ben Edited by Ben Hamers on 21-05-2012 22:56 |

After a near miss in another forum (I thought something similar might be a strat larva) I would say this might be a tabanid larva. Theo or maybe Tom probably can confirm if I am right.

It might be a Tabanidae. But then again, it might be something else (in Nematocera). Consult Ton van Haaren. Theo Zeegers |
