Pupa on Dead Caterpillar

This apparent pupa was among the spines of a dead black bristly Tiger Moth larva (Arctiinae). Dipteran? Or is there not enough evidence to know? --Stephen Stephen Cresswell www.americaninsects.net |

Ha, you may be right! The caterpillar was by my house, a few days ago, I will see if it is still there and investigate more fully.
