I think it is female of Siphona, Tachinidae.

Indeed. This fly is superabundant right now in Hungary, I also made many pics and collected several specimens. Theo, what is its host?

I believed that all of the Tachinidae sp. are much larger than this fly. Siphona refers the genera but do you know its accurate name?

Siphona female is dead case for further ID.
May be late autumn gives you chance, but only if Theo will look at your fly. So, my advice is to change thread's name to Tachinidae, otherwise Theo can overlook your fly.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
