Psychodid larva identification?

Hi dipteran gurus. This psychodid larva was found in a New Zealand (North Island) stream - it's very distinctive, particularly the tail structures. I'd be most grateful for any suggestions about the taxon. Thanks Stephen Moore |

I'm afraid it's been in ethanol since the day it was collected, but since the tail structure is so distinctive (new image attached) I'd hoped that someone may recognise it. |

New Zealand's Psychodids are poorly known. The larval stage is (as far as I remember) only known for four species. This does not look like any of those. So, collect more specimens and try rearing them! |
