looks very much like the larva of a longhorn beetle, Cerambycidae. Can't help you with the species name, sorry. |

On second look: http://www1.pms-l...pecies=121. Translation of text there: larvaes are developed under bark ! Same text for all rhagium sp. there. You are right, the larvae of Rhagium burrow mainly in the surface layer of the trunk. Maybe something else, eg Sapedra, but it is difficult for someone who has not worked specifically with them. Sorry I couldn't help you. |
