 another Choerades - difficult again...

Hi, Today I saw some Choerades flies on the eastern outskirts of Berlin. I suppose I found male and female. They seem to differ from my Ch. fimbriata in http://diptera.in...ost_263225 in that the facial hairs are white and the scutellar bristles dark. The anepisternum is greyish-tomentose, and I do not see yellow hairs. The first antennal segment is rather long. The key leads to Ch. femorata, but can the tergites be so golden-haired? Even in the male there is a golden gleam below the wings viewed from above. So I need an expert's opinion - thanks for any help! Sundew This is the female, eating a Mirid bug, probably Megaloceroea recticornis. Unfortunately I got only this view. |

I think both belong to that C marginata/femorata/ dioctriaeformis complex
