[Myopa tessellatipennis] Conopidae > Myopa sp
Arthropa
A last one for today... Grin

For this Myopa sp couple, I think about Myopa extricata. Is it possible to confirm ?

Benoit,

I think you have arrived in the right couplet for identifying this species, either M. extricata or M. tessellatipennis. Do you have a detail or another view of the head? It is difficult to say exactly what the colour of the palps is, but from what I can see you are probably right (the palps appear to be pale).

Maybe I'm wrong, but palpae are brown, so, it would be M. tesselatipennis ?
(Thanks to the Myopa key on Mark van Veen's website)
Hope this will help !

Yours,

You hit the nail right on the head, dark palpi -> tessellatipennis.
