Hello! Dolichopodids from 1.5 to 8 mm are among the most numerous flies in the low vegetation here (Ostwestfalen/Germany) at the moment. These two were about 4 mm and 8 mm. Can they be identified? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Hello, Igor! Igor Grichanov wrote: Both Dolichopus sp. Please catch them and make new pictures. Many thanks! But I'm afraid that would not be easy. Normally I don't catch the insects I photograph. And at the moment there are at least half a dozen species or more flying in our garden alone - couldn't be sure to catch the same as on these photos... I have tried today to make more photographs of Dolichopodidae, especially of the tiny 1.5-2 mm critters, but also some new of Dolichopus sp.. I will post them in a new thread when I have sighted them (took about 400 pics today...).
