Hi there, I am new to this forum, and I want to start with a question concerning an observation of a Molobratia teutonus eating its prey: There was a small Diptera on the body of the Apis, only saw it on the pictures at home. Can someone tell me more about this behavior, like is it a commensalistic behavior? Is it maybe even laying eggs in there? How far can it be determined? Probably Desmometopa. They are common on honey bees (Apis) caught as prey. |
