Hello to all! A friend of mine is looking for literature and/or websites to identify his diptera enclosed in amber (Baltic and Dominican). Has anybody got a recommendation for this subject? Thanks a lot in advance! Rupert |

Try to use literature for extant Diptera. For these two types of amber it will almost always suffice.

Thank you both, I think we gonna stick to the literature for extant diptera, because none of us is very good in Asian writing ![]() Greetings Rupert |

Of course, this will work to family level only. I am not aware of any (recent) publications that deal extensively with single families in Dominican and Baltic amber.
