Hmmm, not Chrysotoxum cautum! It's abdomen and also the coloration is different. Most important: female cautum has a membranous strip on tergite 6 which divides this tergite in two parts. This animal hasn't got it, and it would have been visible on the picture.
Also the antennae, although not very well visible, are not those of cautum. In this case antennal segment 3 seems shorter than segments 1 and 2 together.
So, this is more likely a female Chrysotoxum verralli!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
