A new article by Tony Irwin (on phorids of the genus Phalacrotophora) was added today.
The PHP-Fusion CMS was updated to v6.01.1 today. There will be few visible changes for the most part, but what will be noticable is the rewrite of the Photo Gallery script. You should take into account that all older hard links to images in the Diptera Gallery are broken and will default back to the Diptera gallery main page. Please report these and I will try to fix them. Additionally: You will be able to submit photo's for the Diptera Gallery using the this link that you can also find in the Navigation Panel (to the left).

Recently we have had more and more posts in the forum that do not include the image but links to other pages (often flickr, but not exclusively). I understand it sometimes may be easier to do that than to sort out the exact link for the image, but I would prefer it to see the image(s) IN the thread. I certainly makes it easier to discuss what it is all about without having to switch windows all the time.
So, please, try to use the [img] tags with the link to the image rather than the [url] tags to the page with the image.
Thank you.
Members who have set their preference to 'Remember me' when logging in may not really have noticed, but those have visit without logging in must have noticed a difference since yesterday: the big center Theme Switcher panel is gone and replaced by a smaller panel in the left side column. Something else that is new: it now works for every visitor, whether they are logged in or not. An improvement, in my view.
Another novelty is the Glossary. I developed it myself, with this site in mind. The core is clear to everyone (eventually you would have noticed the link in the Navigation Panel), but it has a few tricks up its sleeve. The signs are all around, but the implementation is not visible in many places yet. I wonder who will spot it first...
